Post Award Team

Our Goal

The Post-Award Team provides comprehensive financial management for faculty and Principal Investigators (PIs) within the College of Engineering and Information Technology (COEIT). We manage the lifecycle of sponsored research grants, self-support funds, and foundation accounts.

Comprehensive Award Management

We support faculty from the initial award receipt through final project closeout by:

  • Financial Oversight: Monitoring expenditures for compliance, reconciling accounts, and forecasting future spending.

  • Grant Administration: Managing re-budgets, no-cost extensions, and required financial reporting.

  • Compliance & Closeout: Ensuring all expenditures are allowable and preparing final financial reports.

Internal Collaboration

We work closely with key UMBC departments to ensure seamless project administration:

  • OSP (Office of Sponsored Programs)

  • OCGA (Office of Contract and Grant Accounting)

  • Financial Services

    • Accounts Payable

    • Travel 
  • Procurement
